Mageia 6 RC release, based on Mandriva Linux branch – Penetration Testing in Linux

Mageia is a branch of Mandriva Linux in September 2010, which was created by former employees and contributors from popular Linux distributions in France. Unlike Mandriva’s business entity, the Mageia program is a community project and a nonprofit organization whose goal is to develop a free Linux-based operating system.

Mageia 6 has been released, the version added a lot of new features.

Including the use of more mature Plasma instead of KDE 4, through the dnf and COPR stack to add urpmi, the main desktop and other large stacks, major updates to the components and a large number of software updates. Since Mageia 6 sta 2, a lot of work has been done on the installer, especially with respect to proprietary drivers and VirtualBox support.
